Weekend Update (4/21)

Here’s some stuff to check out that I think might be helpful and fun for you.

3 Lessons About Guest Services / “I would classify Gwinnett Church as the Chick-Fil-A Church.  I say this because the Guest Service volunteers were the best I’ve experienced.”

21 Skills of Great Preachers / Josh Reich pulls a helpful passage from Rewiring Your Preaching.

Lessons Learned from Limiting Access / I can resonate with this pastor of a growing church who has had to adjust how he spends his time as the church grows.

Rick Warren, The Circus & My Imaginary Friend / A touching piece about Rick Warren.

Identities / A photographer shows people years later in the same pose. Fascinating.

Conan Joins a Southern Baptist Choir / “I don’t sing gospel. I’ve never sang gospel. It’s just one of those things I know I can do better than anybody else without trying.”

I was born and raised in Denver, CO and lived there through high school. Then I moved to Champaign, IL where I attended the University of Illinois and played on the Fighting Illini baseball team. I was married in December, 2001 to Molly, who I met at the U of I. In June of 2002, we moved to Phoenix and have been here ever since. In July of 2006, we welcomed a baby girl, Abby, into our family.
